Abergavenny Food Festival is back in its twentieth year this September for a very special celebration of Britain’s finest craft food and drink.
First held in 1999 set up by two farmers in reaction to the BSE crisis, the festival has long been known to challenge the status quo, never afraid to shy away from the food & farming issues of the day, and has drawn some of the most vociferous, innovative and industry leading lights from the food & drink and farming industries.
The festival is now celebrating 20 years of success, having seen many fantastic talents along the way, and this year is no different. From 15th – 16th September 2018 Abergavenny will see a carnival of culinary delights, with names such as José Pizarro, Matt Tebbutt, Zoe Adjonyoh, Romy Gill, Jack Stein, Xanthe Clay, Grace Dent and many, many more! Click below to check out the full line up of speakers.
From talks and debates, to forgaging tours, chef demonstrations and tutored tastings, there is something to suit all ages, tastes and culinary persuasions.
New to the festival this year, all Chef Demos will be free to watch on the new Market Hall stage. Included in weekend and day wristbands for the festival, which are available to buy via the website now, is a smokin’ line up of chefs Cooking over Fire at The Castle, Kids’ Activities across the town, Talks & Debates in The Dome at The Castle and the popular Farmyard area with its discussions, debates and farm animals.
Tickets are available to buy online or at The Borough Theatre box office!
